Today I am gonna share some amazing information that I received from the industrial experts Mr.Arun Eapen and Mr. Sreejith Anujan organized by #linuxWorld under the guide-lines of #worldRecordHolder
Mr.VIMAL DAGA and Mrs.PREETI DAGA.
Being a part of #ARTH I got this opportunity to be a part of Industrial Use Case by Industrial Experts on topic Automation using Ansible.
So to begin we need to know

What is Automation ?

In simple words Automation is the technique of using automating tools such as DevOps, Docker, Puppet etc. in order to perform tasks in such a way that makes use of minimal human efforts + increases the amount of correctness.
Generally Automation is used in integration of machines into self-governing system.

Overall automation is the technology that makes use of programming commands + automatic control system to perform a task in proper way.
In technological world RedHat provides one of the biggest automation platform(Red Hat® Ansible® Automation Platform) where we can automate and integrate different security solutions.

The main concern of this session was ANSIBLE TOWER.

Ansible Tower

Ansible Tower is the enterprise automation solution built on the top of Ansible Engine, which provides enterprise level features like:

  • API — Application Programmer/Programming Interface
  • Web User Interface
  • Roll based Access Control
  • Scheduling
  • Integration with existing Enterprise Notification Tooling
  • Integrating with Third Party Solutions such as Oracle

and many more.

We can also say that ansible tower is basically a product or solution used by organization to scale their automation.

After sharing all these information Mr. Sreejith Anujan proceeded towards its first use case.

INDUSTRIAL USE CASE-1

This use case was CI-CD(Continous Integration & Continous Delivery) use case in which the Ansible playbook was used in Provisioning of an Infrastructure in Amazon Web Server.

For this use case we deployed our playbook in Ansible Tower and launched it.
Ansible Tower after launching the playbook connects to the Amazon Server API, authenticate the login info and then RHEL 8 instance.

So the main motive of this Use Case was to show that how simple it is to work on Ansible Tower + the amazing features provided by Ansible tower such as
* Adding Credential Resource
* Templates
* Adding new Templates
* Demo Inventory etc.

INDUSTRIAL USE CASE-2

In this use case Mr. Sreejith Anujan integrated Ansible Tower with existing Enterprise Notification Tolling such as Slack, Hip-Chat etc.
